Hi, good morning dear KPers,

Has anyone knitted one of these? If so, is there a yarn you would recommend for this project? Any hints are most welcome.

Thank you.

Yes, I used Cotlin from Knitpicks. Washable, absorbent, and not too thick.

I would agree. In addition to the mentioned virtues of Knit Picks Cotlin, the price point is good as is the service.

I have made these in many types of yarn..... whatever you use, I suggest machine washable and does not create too thick a layer

May I ask, did you have a favorite pattern and color?

I used leftover sock yarn. Gives me good memories when I see it.

I used HL I Love This Cotton to crochet a tabletop cover for a lamp table. I chose a doily pattern and adjusted my hook and yarn size. It turned out perfect for what I wanted. You could easily do the same in knitting as well. Just pick out your pattern and go from there.

Yes, I also used sock yarn, and for a pattern, I used mitered squares. Look great on the dining room table or dresser.
