I am often reading about "the rules" of this forum. I have been a member now for some time and have yet been able to find these rules. Would someone please point me in the direction of where and how to get to them so I can finally find out what these rules are? Thank you.

here are the rules for Main.

From this view of Main, it's the 2nd post, though it is usually the first in most sections.

you agreed to the terms of use when you created an id.... was probably a box you check marked without much thought (I know I did)
Click on All sections (below) and then
If you click on each section, at the top (or near) there are "Rules and Guidelines" for that section.... what is supposed to be posted there or not.

You can also click on Help at the top of this page and go to the Frequently Asked Questions and other information.

I,too am rather confused re the rules. When I first signed up many years ago, I wanted to sell some of my wool.
The rules then, were you had to post 20 posts in the 2 weeks, before you became a " registered " KP member. Dated 2011.
Is this ruling still applicable.
I have read the Terms & conditions, I really could not see any relevant info re this matter,
I read the KP posting every day, but do not respond, unless the particular topic, I feel I can help with.
KP is a wonderful source of learning, inspiration , comfort, much needed in this difficult world., but to have to post 20 posts, perhaps some very trivial, In order to sell some wool, is very tedious.

Forgive me , if you folk find this post too serious, but I welcome some clarification on this.

Best wishes to you all

Hettie - I think that is to keep the forum alive and stop people who just want to have a business with no responsibilities. I welcome those who will give me a clue as to where they live, even if it only the country or continent. That keeps me as a regular most of the time, but I do not sell anything, so it's OK if I go on and off the regular list.

I believe that the rule still is applicable - you need to be a "regular" member to post in the classified. You need to be a "registered" member to make any post - but the general public can read the forum at any time. That is why people are reminded to not put personal info in posts. (address, email address, phone numbers, etc.)

It isn't hard to make the required posts, if you are truly interested in becoming a "regular". There are always questions to offer answers to, requests for ideas for projects, asking for favourite links, informal surveys (which crochet hook you prefer, when you started knitting, what your first project was, etc.), and people sharing pictures of what they've made. You can always just post a "great job" post on the pictures, and that should bring you up to a regular member in no time!!
