I am trying to find my way back to my knitting and functioning. I have not been on here for two months. My husband passed away suddenly in January. Since then I have lost my focus for almost everything. I am starting to knit again but focus is still a bit difficult.

Give it time, I lost a daughter and it takes time to come out of the "fog".

So sorry for your loss. It takes time to get your focus back after losing a spouse - everything changed. Be kind to yourself and just keep trying

After my first spouse died, I played freecell card game on the computer and did simple crossword puzzels to try to get my attention span and thought process back

I am so sorry for your lose. Take your time, do easy mindless projects, like maybe garter stitch dishcloths or something. Don't stress over mistakes.

So sorry for your loss. Give yourself all the time you need to grieve, there is not set limit. One of these days thins will click in place. Sending long distance hugs and prayers.

I’m so sorry for your loss. As the prior posters said, it does take time - YOUR time. Everyone grieves differently, so don’t look for a magic number of days, weeks, months or years. I am a facilitator with my church's Bereavement group, and I would like to suggest that you try to find a group local to where you live. When my husband passed 16years ago attending this group was the single best decision I made to help me cope, and move on. There are no rights, no wrongs, and no rules in the grieving process. Your husband will always be with you, in your heart. When you are ready, acceptance of your loss will begin, and I promise that you will smile again. 💕

I am so sorry for your loss. Do you have a group you knit with? Sometimes they are the most sensitive and caring groups and can give love and encouragement to help you through.
