I opened a box that I thought had papers in it that I needed to go through. It's been sitting on my closet shelf. This is what I found. It came from a Goodwill auction I'd won (looking at what's left of the label) in 2016. Unfortunately, there are no labels on any of it.
Wow, what a lovely surprise!
Great colors would make a great "fade"
Lovely colors! I’m sure you will find something special to make with it.
Oh Wow! What a lovely lot of yarn. Enjoy!
Fabulous! I’m drooling here. What a great discovery. 😃
That is some beautiful mystery yarn.
Love the colors, just love them!!
Lovely colours I bet that was a nice surprise.
Beautiful colours ,and what a great find
Well you've got some fun ahead of you! This is what I would do: ball them all but first get a yardage/meter counter--nothing expensive, ebay has them--so that you know how much you have in each of the different yarns. Looks like there are several various fibers/color tones/plies, etc. Then you can start thinking of what to make. It could be a combination of all the yarns, just for a fun lap blanket or something. Progress report needed.
Nice 'find'. Usually only pretty good yarns are in hanks. I bet you can knit or crochet up something very nice with some of that, lots of yarn there to work with.
Do a burn test.
Looks beautiful, most likely wool.
Yes it was a nice surprise. The three rust colored hanks on the right side have little silver specks in them (kinda looks like lint in the picture).
Gaildh, yes that was my first thought.
