I have 2 large computer paper boxes full of assorted yarn. I am looking to rehome all of it. My preference is to send it (I'll pay the postage) to a group who will use it for items to be donated to various charities. There is sock yarn, sport/DK yarn, and some worsted/Aran weight. All kinds of colors - not necessarily a lot of any given yarn or color. Is anyone interested? PM me and let's see what we can work out.

We have a transitional housing shelter where I lead a knitting/crochet class once a week. Donations appreciated!

How nice of you. I'm sure you will find a good home for it--and many happy recipients in the future.

I knit for the special needs class in the high school where I work. I also donate to the Future Farmers of America class at the high school and the gym class that gives baskets to the kids who earn them. It is such a pity the schools have such little money now.

I donate all my yarn that I do not see a future making things with to the senior center here in Lafayette, Indiana. They are very happy to see me. I have had things donated to me and if I did not buy the yarn, then I pass it on to a good cause.

I would do an internet search for knitting/crochet charities plus your zip code, to find something local, or you could post it on a site like: https://www.freecycle.org/

Thank you - that was the most concrete/best suggestion to help me find a home. I'm working on at least one option. Seriously, if anyone wants any of this, I'll be happy to mail smaller amounts - you get what I grab when I am filling the box!
