This afternoon I went to check on the grand baby which was taking a nap in my bed room and I saw something move behind the blinds. I took another look and saw that it was a snake. I began to scream and my daughter came running into the bedroom. I yelled snake!!!! I scared the baby half to death. I called my son to get over to my house right away because they were a snake in my house. Making a long story short, the snake got away from him and went under the bed. We tore up my room looking for the snake. Took the bed down and out of the house. I told my husband that I was not going to sleep at our house tonight until we found that snake. We looked everywhere! No snake! Everyone went out of the bed room trying to figure something out for awhile. I went back into the bedroom and there it was wrapped around the bed frames. I screamed snake again! Everyone came running again to capture the snake. The snake did his best to get away again, but my son grabbed him by the tail and finally got the snake in a pillow case. He finally got the snake outside. We didn’t kill the snake. I asked my husband and son to take the snake up the road and let it go. I hope I can sleep tonight because I hate snakes!!!!!

A chicken snake. Some people call them garden snakes.

I like snakes. Have had garter snakes for pets, also bull snakes, corn snakes, a boa & several pythons over the years. NOT poisonous.

When i had a much smaller snake in my house, neighbor who was a biologist told me it was after mice. Yes, mice were usually a problem when I lived at the lake. I managed to plug all the mice holes and had no more snakes.

I hate snakes! If it were me, I don't think I would ever sleep in that room again. Time to find a new house without any snakes!

This is the first time we have had any trouble about a snake trying to get into the house. My daughter said it may have been hunting a cool place, because it has been very hot the last few days.
