I just finished this corner-to-corner garter stitch baby blanket for a baby boy due in September. Apparently I'm easily amused: I just love seeing the stripes develop. This yarn had more knots in it than anyone would choose, so I was confirmed in my decision to just let the color changes fall where they did. It means the blanket has no "right" side, but I like the look. 31 inches square, used nearly all of three cakes of yarn, about 700 yards.
Love the colors! I, too, love the "cakes" yarn!
So very pretty - great baby blanket colors. I like the way the stripes progressively narrow as it widens then reverse and get wider as you decreased. It makes for an interesting pattern.
Aren't those cakes fun to knit with? I LOVE them. Your blanket looks great! It's so much easier to just "let the colors fall" where they may, but it doesn't take away from the blanket at all.
Well done. Like the color combination also.
Beautiful blanket, very pretty colors
Very nice, love the colors.
That's very pretty. I'm using Sweet Roll to make a baby granny square blanket and even thought it's nice yarn, a granny square is not the best choice for this type of yarn. The bigger the blanket gets, the less color you have per round. I think the type of blanket you've made is perfect with this type of yarn.
Well, it turned out beautiful despite the knots. The color is gorgeous.
It's beautiful. I'm doing something like that now myself.
That turned out beautiful! Love the cheerful colors and the way that they fall
