Recently about 5 months ago I was told that I have lung cancer. I have had cancer before it was bladder cancer and they removed my bladder and all surrounding lymph nodes. That was over 10 years ago. At the time I was told that the cancer could come back at any time in another part of my body. I feel that I am a very lucky person to be around this long. Now for the good news. I went back to USC Norris cancer clinic in Los Angeles and was treated with radiation which does not cause you to lose your hair and has no pain. Yesterday I got the results The cancer is dead and gone. I was a happy person for about one hour then they told me you have Lung disease. But no cancer just regular disease. They showed me the xrays and there is a hole in my lung. However I have the utmost faith in the doctors at this wonderful hospital and look for a cure.
I am sharing this for I don't know what reason. I think to perhaps give others in a similar situation hope.
well your good news has made my day.!!
Medical science is SO good these days. Best of luck with your holey old lung!
Good news!! Sad news, but hey you fought and beat lung cancer, so there has to be a great hope, and belief. YOU GO GIRL!!!!!
Thank you for posting, it keeps us humble!
May the Good Lord help you heal and enjoy life.
I’m glad the cancer news is good, but sad about the lung disease. I hope this can be fixed.
Congratulations on the cancer! And good luck on the lung disease.
Last December I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and have been undergoing chemo every other week since mid January. I’m doing real good, oncologist & oncology nurses are very pleased.
I’ve had lots of support & prayers along with a positive attitude, that I believe makes a big difference. Then in March our 45 yr old daughter was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer so we’ve been experiencing similar things at the same time. She’s doing much better & her attitude has improved considerably!
Just know I’ll keep you in my thought. 🦋🦋
praying here for all the KP people that have cancer .
Prayer for you and your daughter. Best wishes ishes
Congratulations on the cancer cure. It's wonderful to hear that they could "kill" the cancer so efficiently and without the normal side affects.
I'm sorry to hear that they found lung disease in the x-ray. In this day and age you would think they already have a plan of action for the hole in your lung.
So waiting to hear about your cure.
A living tribute and your optimism is remarkable. I was diagnosed with lung cancer almost 2 years ago, and have recently been told I am in remission. Have been able to stop chemo for a little while now, with no guarantee of course that it will remain that way, but I will enjoy while I am. You are an inspiration to me and others no doubt. Continue to feel better, and please share your progress...
So glad the cancer is gone. Will be thinking about you as you find the answer for your lung disease!
