I helped at a flag raising.
The flag is 40 feet by 80 feet! The pole is 300 feet tall.
I'm sorry I only have a link to my friends photos.
I'm the dumpy lady in the black coat with blue hat at the end of the flag.
What a fabulous and moving experience!

That is wonderful!! Last year, hubby and I were at Camping World...they have a huge flag like that...and it was being raised up. We watched from beginning to end, as we stood with our hands over our hearts.

Yesterday I watched a couple of WW2 movies that were made in the '40s while the war was still being fought. My heart is with those brave men who gave their all.

Congratulations, and thanks for taking part in this patriotic event. I'm sure it was very emotional!

The store is Gander Outdoors, now owned by Camping World.

What a wonderful experience. I wish I looked as nice as you do. But I would prefer a red hat not blue.
