I was awaken by a phone call informing me that my husband of 53 years had been in a solo car accident in Arizona and had died. This news has thrown our family into shock and unbearable grief. My daughter, son, son-in-law, brother, sister and the grandchildren have had a horrible Christmas. My granddaughter's birthday was on the 22nd which I am eternally grateful this accident wasn't on her birthday. I hope the rest of world doesn't suffer this type of loss anytime soon.

Oh, I can't imagine the shock & grief. You & your family are in my deepest prayers. You all have my sincerest sympathy. My only sister died unexpectedly on my birthday & it does continue to color the day. God bless you all.

It’s bad enough to lose your loved one, but especially cruel when it happens around special times that come every year.
My husband passed in March of 2007. We had lived with the knowledge of his terminal illness for close to a year.
I’m not sure which is worse but they are both a pain to be lived with for the rest of our lives. The shock wears off throughout time but the pain and missing them never goes away.
Please accept my virtual hug and even though it doesn’t help much, realize you aren’t alone.

I'm so sorry for your lose!!! My husband of 24 years died suddenly of a massive heart attack in 1991 so I can relate to you and your family. It may not seem like it right now but you and your family WILL survive this and not only just survive, you will be forever changed and you will ultimately thrive. That is my prayer for you all. Aloha... Bev
