After finding a really old pattern to make my grand daughter a My Little Pony cardigan I had to do the same for a Thomas the Tank Engine jumper pattern. The only one I could find had a girly slash neck so I used the motif on a basic round neck jumper, but my grandson doesn’t like wool around his throat so I put a button placket in. They live a long way from me but instead of posting them I will take them when I next visit them in March. I did email some photos of the finished garments and they met with their approval. I never thought I’d be knitting Thomas again as I made jumpers for my own sons over 30 years ago. Funnily enough I was looking through knitting patterns in a local charity shop this morning and found the same patterns on offer for 50p so I could have saved myself some money if I’d thought to look there first instead of going straight to the internet.
Now, what to knit next!
Wow, what a great jumper. I’ve yet to attempt that kind of knitting. 🐢
Beautiful jumper! You did a great job. My 3 year old grandson in the U.S. would love that jumper. He is mad about Thomas. We bought him an electric Thomas train set for Christmas.
Great job...one of my favorites!!! HUGS...GG
