Another great site that I rely on a lot is:

http://www.openculture.com/freeaudiobooks

From Aesop to Oscar Wilde. They even have a few selections read from the authors themselves, e.g., a short story by Flannery O'Connor or a poem by T.S. Eliot.

The options do not stop there. The site also includes references to music, lectures, courses, movies, etc.

It is fun and worth your time just to explore.

Thank you for this I didn't know it existed and I love Jane Austen novels which I can now listen to whether I am knitting or crocheting. After the current blanket I think I will design Princess Layla (my avatar)a sweater a raglan top down will be a breeze rofl.
Wish me luck! With that it is now bed time at 146a EST

I have been listening to you tube audio books for years. I like John Grisham, Michael Connolly, David Baldacci and many others. Some of Nora Roberts are good like The Witness, The Obsession, The Collector and Whiskey Beach. You can read the reader's reviews on the books and get an idea if they are good and make sure they have endings. I like suspense stories.

Me too!!!. Murder mayhem mystery. And all the Authors you have mentioned are my favourites too along with Diana Gabaldon of the Outlander series! Wonder if hers are available on audio books as well???
