Sam is having computer problems so has asked me to start us off with the summary.

Summary of 4th January, 2019 by Darowil

The summary and following lists are a summary of last week's Tea Party and are of more value to the regulars here unable to keep up with all the chatter than to newbies - who are very welcome to join us at any time just by speaking up and making yourself known. All the pages etc refer back to last week's Tea Party https://www.knittingparadise.com/t-582092-1.html

Well another very chatty week.

A good friend of Kate’s passed away only 6 weeks after being diagnosed with lung cancer.

Cashmeregma has come down with a fever after the Christmas celebrations.

It’s wonderful to see KTP members able to help Ohio Joy out at Take Flight at different times. This week nittergma was able to spend a day helping out.

Gwen has been having a lot of pain recently and saw her rheumatologist who commented that her joints are the worst he has seen for a long time. 20 days of steroids and then reassess. Her DH is recovering well from shoulder surgery last year but discovered that he is still very tired when he did a few hours consulting during the week. They both need dental work done - and Brantley looks like needing a root canal done.

Gottastch has been having nasty headaches and saw a chiropractor the other day - woke up the next day feeling fabulous.

Maatje has been feeling unwell and went to emergency care to find out she had bronchitis and sinusitis developing. On a variety of medications and waiting response to these. Last week we said that they had a new granddaughter - but at the last minute the adoption fell through as the birth mother was trying to manipulate the situation.

Swedenme was also put on medication for her sinus’ as her doctor thinks that may be the cause of her vertigo.

After a second contract on the house fell through last week Rookie was feeling very discouraged but they have since had a new offer and about 6 more viewings in the pipeline (or just viewed) so things are looking much more hopeful there.

Bubba Love has asked for prayers as she has found another lump in her breast. She is also distressed that her siblings have placed her DM in a home which is not near to her. And her DD's friend's young daughter is seriously ill.

Thank you to Kate, Darowil and ALSO Tami in getting us up and running this week! I talked with Sam and he sounded good; had a nice though short chat.

Big thanks to Rookie for sending me a heads up on Stitches conference being held in Atlanta last weekend in May/first of June. Doubt I will do the entire weekend but told one of the knitting groups I attend and we are at least going to attempt to go down to it when the market part of it is open. One of our newest in the group formerly worked for Interweave and when looking through all the instructors know quite a few of them personally and has been telling us what the they specialize in, etc. Going to start counting my pennies to be able to at least go up for the market.

Thank you Kate for getting this week started and thanks to Tami for being able to get the link to work. What a great team. Glad Sam is OK and it's only his computer having problems. I'm sure he'll be up and running before long.

Darn it Gwen, sounds like I arrived in Atlanta three months too early! If I'd been there now I would definitely be coming along with you!

Well you certainly would be welcome to return!!! Wouldn't it be a blast if the KAP were held here this year and we all could attend Stitches!

Thanks, ladies, for stepping up for Sam. I missed getting the digest too until late this afternoon. Since Rookie hasn't posted for a while, I hope it's good news and that she's getting lots of offers.
