Thanks for this inspiring story yes like UK ladies they do like to k as an necessity not for fun.
When I was in SA the maid we had wanated to knit a teddy with a red jumper I bought the wool, I had a pattern book of toys with me I was knitting.
Every day she would knit as much as she could then I figured she would never finish the teddy so I knitted it for her GD it was like I had given her a million $ ‘s she did finish the red jumper and gave it to her D saying this is from Madam don’t let her use it poor child they are such beautiful people I love them all.
