Sorry this is in "General Chit Chat " I can't seem to get it right on the row after a yo before a purl stitch. Sometimes on the next row I have the right amount of stitches and sometimes I have too many. Is there another way to achieve the same result. Help!

Is there a knit st before the yo, if there is you have to put the wool all the way around the needle so it is in the right place to do the purl st.

What is the pattern? Is it k1, yo, p1 or is it p1, yo, p1?
From a knit to a purl - bring yarn under right needle and over the top of the needle and under the needle to purl next stitch
From a purl to a purl - yarn is already to the front of the needle so take it over and under the needle to purl next stitch.

You need to make sure that your stitches before and after the yarn over are snug to the needle.

Thanks Judy M. I knew I would get some great advice from you guys. Most of the time it is a knit before the yo, then the purl. I will give going under the right needle a go. I have frogged this thing too many times.
