I suspect unless you find something different the letters were transposed and it's place marker or PM not MP would that make sense at the place you encountered it?

Thanks for the pattern, it will be interesting to find out what others use for the yarn , since the original one is discontinued. I hope they post here what they use to give us some ideas.
