I haven't knitted this but it looks lovely. I must admit that I'm not a fan of drops patterns, but to be fair I've not made one, I'm put off by the way they write patterns, they make them look so complicated! I'd be interested to know, if you do make it, how you get on as it's a top down pattern (which I love) & I do like the look of the pattern. There's sure to be someone that can help & advise you!

I haven't attempted it, but I don't think you're mad for wanting to. Go on and give it a go!

The pattern looks beautiful ...but...I have never had success with drops patterns neither has anyone in our group consequently we avoid them like the plague.

I've attempted several drops patterns unsuccessfully, but I thought it was just my impatience at trying to make them work.

My knitting is not near as far along as many of you and I have looked at Drops patterns many times. When I saw one I liked, I would scan down through it and that is as far as I went. In fact, along the way of "collecting" patterns, I deleted what I thought "just maybe" I could handle and don't bother with them at all any more.

I say go for it , you will either finish up with a beautiful cardigan or bald because the pattern has made you pull your hair out 😆

I also find them complicated.

Looks lovely - am tempted to make it for my charity bag. I have made dozens of drops patterns and have never had a problem - I love them. Maybe I have a curly brain?

Perhaps we could have a mini KAL together! I have successfully completed a few drops patterns and I’m really pleased they are now doing more top downs, my preferred style! I’ve been working on my fairislevso just maybe I’m ready?!?

Ok let’s both have a go as we’re in the UK, I struggle with the way some American patterns are written so they probably find some of ours difficult. I am originally from Croydon area so know Beckenham well, now living in Cumbria. Don’t like what they’ve done to Croydon it was lovely when I was growing up. Feel free to pm me if you take up the challenge as I don’t get replies here. Irene

I love Drops yarn. However, I do feel that their patterns are unnecessarily complicated. I’m just finishing Forest Princess in Drops Big Delight wool yarn and found that the pattern could have been written so much clearer. I would suggest you read the pattern very carefully and maybe write it out yourself making it more manageable.
