I had a great friend who lived across the street. She purchased the Beatle albums and I recorded them. I could sing an entire album and never really knew where side two started.

Slade Alive, and I still think that Noddie Holder's version, of Darling Be Home Soon is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. I was 16, and had started my first job, after leaving school, in a bank. It was my first pay. I still have the album.

My DM was very religious, needless to say only 'Christian music' was played on a cassette player. I bought my own cassette player and the first album I bought was Anne Murray Greatest Hits (I think), my favorite song " You are my Sunshine" I took this cassette overseas and my favorite Aunt begged me to leave it with her as I was her sunshine and I was leaving - it was a huge trip 1981 she lived in East Europe and I did not think I would ever see her again. I just went back 4 years ago and she still has that cassette and plays it. Incidentally I still love that song and my grandson loves it too.
