I went to my local yarn shop today just to chat and well, this happened! It was my husband's idea to visit while he went to the used book store. I just could not resist. The abracadabra is blue and yellow. So excited.

Talk to me about this abracadabra yarn, what brand is it?
I have noticed a lot of Michigan kpers lately online. It would be great if we all got together for a day or weekend someplace and worked on a simple quick project for charity or something, but we could exchange different ways of knitting and techniques

Abracadabra is by HiKoo. It is a magic yarn. You buy them and go in the sun and the color comes out. They added yellow which I bought and also blue. They also have pink and purple.
I see you are from Troy. My son in law works at a church in Troy and my daughter is a hair stylist in Rochester.i live 3 hours away.

Neat!
I haven’t heard of it before, does it change back after being indoors again?

Yes it does! I made my daughter and daughter in law one for Christmas a few years ago. Problem was the sun didn't shine for about a week. When it did they were so excited.

What church in Troy as we are Jewish but then m familiar with quite a few churches in the area.
You can also pm me.

Tell me again where you found this abracadabra yarn 🧶 as it sounds interesting and I’m sure I could think of something to knit with this.

By the way, I live near Somerset Mall if this helps and maybe we could get together sometime for coffee and knit, if you would like.

I would love to get some of this yarn! Will have to check it's availability in my area and online. I would love to make hat/scarf sets for my grandchildren.

Fun! I have the abracadabra in pink. I need to make something for my GD. She’s not yet a fan of hats (15 mo old) but that hadn’t stopped me from knotting her a half dozen of them. She’ll learn to love them soon enough I hope!

Thank you for explaining that because I only saw an off white yarn with the Abracadabra tag. And I know I'm not colorblind and do not have cataracts.

WEBS has it listed in their yarns. Hope it has come in by now; I have a great grand on the way.
