Hi all

I've made a pattern for a newborn baby cardigan that is knitted flat and in one piece (only sleeve seams to sew!) I'm on a mission to get rid of some of my overflowing stash and make some items for charity, but I get really frustrated sewing pieces together so I designed this cardigan with as little sewing as possible without working in the round. Hope some of you find it helpful too! :)

Cute pattern. Thanks. If you really want to be seam free you can finish the sleeves in the round on Dpn’s. That’s what I’ll do anyway. I hate seaming but sometimes it is necessary evil. Not on this however. Lol. Thanks again for sharing this cute raglan.

Thanks! I did think about dpn’s - that’s be great to eliminate all the sewing :) I’ll give them a go on the next one!

So kind of you to share this pattern. I'm not much of a knitter and want to improve my skills. Do you think this is simple enough for novice?

It involves swapping between knit and purl, yarn over, knitting 2 together, p two together and slipping stitches to pass over. I think it’s a good pattern to learn some of those on if you’re not already familiar with them and there are plenty of You Tube videos on each of those if you google them, so I think it would be a challenge but not overly hard. Hope that helps 😊
