Yesterday I received my first order from Hobbii yarn. Ten skeins of sock yarn, five matching skeins and five surprise colors in grab bag.
Their sock yarn is impressively soft and feels like high end quality yarn.

The first photo is my yarn order, the grab bag super sale yarn has some colors I wouldn't normally order, so I was very surprised and pleased with the pattern created by the skein used to start a pair of socks.

The second photo was taken after Henry was brought home safe and sound following dental surgery yesterday. Poor boy had four teeth extracted, all had deteriorated since his annual physical last year. Thankfully , I have the most wonderful vet, a good man who's taken care of all our pets since 1979.

Awwww, poor baby. I hope he bounces back soon. I also have a kitty with that tooth reabsorption problem and she has had many pulled over the years. She still manages to eat her dry food though and is in fine fettle.

Poor baby! Glad you have a good vet. We have brother & sister ginger tabbies and the boy has to have dental work done, Probably same as Henry. Give him some extra love and treats.

The yarn is beautiful and Henry is so handsome! Our kitty had four teeth extracted last year. As he is only five years old, I was surprised. He had to eat wet food for two weeks after the surgery which he did not mind at all. I have to say he has acted like a different cat since the teeth were removed. I didn't realize they had been bothering him. Best wishes for a quick recovery for Henry and be sure to post pics of whatever you make!

Henry is indeed a handsome cat. If you've ever had any painful denture problems, you know exactly how he is feeling.

Oh . . . . nice yarn, too.

He will be fine, our ginger cat had 7 teeth out after we inherited him from my parents when they died. It didn’t bother him at all after the anaesthetic wore off. Henry is gorgeous.

Thank you everyone for get well wishes to Henry.

Thankfully he is making a quick recovery. For days before his surgery I was more stressed than he was.

Originally a rescue cat Henry equated a ride in the dreaded cat carrier to "you don't want me anymore". Getting him in his carrier for a vet visit was bad enough, but this time I was leaving him and he would be put in a cage all alone. It was breaking my heart wondering how frightened and sad he must have been when I left without him.

Fortunately, Henry doesn't hold a grudge he kept nuzzling my fingers through the holes in the top grate of the carrier all the way home.

Today he appears fully recovered from dental surgery and more affectionate than ever. Perhaps now he realizes he will always be loved, he has his forever home and he will never abandoned again.
