Has anyone ever used this #4 yarn on their machine? Says it’s #4, but feels like #3 to me. Friend of mine bought this and tried to find center pull strand. Got frustrated and gave it to me. Now I get to untangle what she pulled out. LOL. I don’t care, free yarn. I am going to rewind into balls. There€ are 5oz so 2 balls probably.

Would like to hear any comments on this yarn. It’s really not wound very well IMHO.

PS: Found grand daughter’€™s swimming goggles and will be wearing them when winding to prevent yarn fuzzies in my eyes.

Here is a scarf that I made using Bernat Pop.
Hand knit.

A hand knitting stitch for using Bernat POP and Kroy sock
Bernat POP colouring is interesting. Please note that there is a picture on the ball band the shows the sequence of the colours. Mine is accurate to the band picture.
Method:
Cast on ODD number of stitches, using POP. I used 25 stitches for a 5" wide scarf.
5mm needle.
This is a 2 row repeat, changing colours/weight of yarns every 2 rows. Knit 1 row to stabilize the caston before starting the patterning.
*Row 1, first stitch knit1 and make 1 in the same stitch, continue to knit 1, purl 1 across the row to the last 2 stitches, knit 2 (tog)together.
Row 2, knit across all stitches.
Row 3, change yarn to KROY sock yarn, repeat Rows 1 & 2*

Thanks, Macon. Beautiful work. Shouldn’t be troublesome to convert to machine knit.

Works better from the outside in.

The photo was intended to show how far the colours go before they change on a scarf.
Lots of potential for various stitches. I only had one ball and didn't buy more for experimenting.

😊 I agree, but she’d started searching for the outside tail too and had pulled some of the strands out of their color’s band and they got mixed in and under some of the others.
Thankfully only took about 10 minutes to find the center tail & unwind the mess she had. Did call her and asked if she wanted it back. She said NO!, very emphatically. 😳😆. Ah well.

Thanks Susan. Mine is the Brother Convertible using 9mm mode and goes up to 13 on the carriage dial. I usually knit from 10 to 12 with #4 yarn. Wonder what your #6 would translate to mine? Hmm... would at least give me a head start when I do the swatch.
