I found this cross stitch chart containing the song from the Big Bang Theory TV show and decided to convert it to a bobble stitch blanket, adding my own border design. I used MS Excel to create my chart. I have never done bobble stitch crochet, but after research on the internet I began this project. I am very pleased with the final result.
I did discover that if you read the pattern chart from Left to Right instead of the usual way, you do not need to try to push the bobbles through to the "right" side nor do you need to create a mirror image of the chart - the bobbles come out perfectly but on the opposite side to that which you are working on so you need to continually turn your work over to make sure that you are not making any mistakes.
That's adorable! Thanks for sharing the information, and well done for figuring it out. :) Lynn
Beautiful job! Very clever of you!
What an absolutely amazing blanket! You did an awesome job creating it! Thank you for the inspiration. I don't think I could crochet all the pretty hearts and border you added, but I may just try following the chart to make a simpler version with just the verse and cat. It would be a throw for an eight year old girl who loves cats and sleeps with two cats I crocheted for her.
So sweet and quite a neat knit, my husband got a new kitten for his birthday and being a dog person, I’m slowly falling in affection for the cat. Maybe I’ll borrow your idea. Lovely
That is just so very cute.
That looks stunning, great job
Holy CROCHET !
And I am having problems making a name in bobble to finish a blanket.. ugh
Well done LOVE LOVE LOVE it.
Aw, love it. I am visualizing a wall hanging made from number 10 thread and then framed..have a crazy cat lady for a friend. ( She only has one cat, but I keep telling her it is a starter kit).
Awesome! What a great blanket! I've never worked up anything using a graph - but your blanket sure gives me the inspiration to look into it and give 'er a try! Kudos.
Wow, this is fabulous. I love cats and so does my daughter, this could be a good project for her birthday or Christmas. Thank you for sharing.
That is so cute; nice job!!
