I am unable to post as the OP on this topic & I are on opposite sides of current political views. That aside, I wanted to let KPers know a little about the college which makes this entire situation that much more troubling. Oberlin is the longest continually operating co-educational college in the nation. And 2 years after its founding by 2 Presbyterian ministers active in the abolitionist movement, it began admitting students of all races. Its conservatory of music is one of our country's best. The student accused of allegedly shoplifting & the administrative officer claiming racism need a major history lesson. The whole situation is just a dark mark on the history of a phenomenal school.
