Nearly home..35kms to go and these vines with the afternoon sunlight on them are in the World renowned Barossa Valley. Settled by Germans(Prussians) fleeing religious persecutions in the 1800's. Our heritage is rich and diverse. Home sweet home!!

Welcome...my husband is of German descent so the Barossa and Clare Valleys are very special to him....I take lots of photos of them both

Haha ha! Yes your Yamba is on the coast and our Yamba is very much inland of course...Nothing more than Quarantine station really for fruitfly checks. There is no township to speak of. The 5-6 officers pour through our cars and caravans, and Bdoubles checking for fruit and vegs, even under the bed of our caravan on one trip. When I queried WHY? I was told "you would be surprised where people hide stuff they have just bought up the road in Mildura!"

Anything (contraband) found is removed and extremely HEAVY Fines are imposed.
With the Riverland and the Barossa and Clare Valleys just a hundred miles down the Highway they are super vigilant!
