I thought I'd post this update on my gardening. I have tomato plants in both a raised bed "patch" and also in big pots. I'm also growing green beans. And I have a bunch of flowers on the deck and along our front porch---with petunias, marigolds, coleus, zinnias, and gladiolas. Yesterday I triumphantly picked my first ripe regular tomato (pictured next to the red gladiola). All but one of my tomato plants are the regular kind, but I do have one cherry tomato plant from which I got a few ripe ones already. But most of the regular tomatoes are still green. I'm freezing the green beans as I pick them. I intend for this Thanksgiving's green bean casserole to be made out of my green beans! I'm doing everything organically---no pesticides. Those plants are as tall or taller than I am (5'1") and they're still growing!!! There must be something in our yard that they like because they always do that. We're on a slight incline so perhaps it's the good soil drainage. The Japanese beetles and budworms attacked the petunias recently, costing me a lot of blooms---it was terrible. But after using Neem Oil and Bt (which are organic), they have rallied and re-flowered, per that picture at the top. But I have to pay attention, that's for sure. It's a lot of work, that's for sure.

That is quite a beautiful and healthy garden and worth every bit of work you put into it. Great rewards in both beauty and taste.

Beautiful! We didn't do one this year, it feels very weird & looks very empty. Thank you for sharing the gorgeous pictures!

Beautiful flowers. Wish all mine looked like that.
Your tomatoes look fantastic. I have mine in larger pots and they don't look that good.
So hot here I don't want to go outside.
You have done a great job. Enjoy.
