Hi
Please help me decide which interchangable set I should buy the chiagoo bamboo set or the knitpro rose wood cubics.
I have one circular fixed of each and love them both.
Lov and thanks

I absolutely love cubic needles. They are easier on my hands and easier to hold onto. I have both fixed and interchangeable in cubics and much, much, much prefer the fixed.
Mine are Knitters Pride.

I love my Red lace ChiaoGoo sets in metal, I only have a few tips in Bamboo in my most used sizes.....I'm not sure but I think the Bamboo set comes with the different cords, I think they might be the clear ones, I prefer the Red cords that come with the metal set....sorry if I have it wrong I've not looked at the bamboo set for awhile

I much prefer bamboo to wood, but if you do a lot of Magic Loop knitting, you might like the Knit Pro cables better as they are softer but have no memory. The ChiaoGoo cables are memory free as well, but very stiff because of the wire inside them. I also prefer the cubic/square needles, much less pain and cramping in my hands and fingers. JMHO.

Ditto!
I love my chiaogoo interchangeables. They are the best.

Needles are a very personal choice. It is sounding as though you like them both. You need to consider what type of projects you are most likely to do, and which needle type will be best for those projects.

I'm not sure, as mine are all still ok, but I wonder if the bamboo needles might last longer as they are harder than wood?

It all depends on the types of projects you are mostly going to do and choose the needle which is most suitable for these projects.

I have the Chiagoo Red Lace set in 4" metal tips,(I have small hands, more comfortable for me). I absolutely love them! Great for lacey projects too! I don't find the cables stiff at all, very flexible.

I love my Chiaogoo steel and Bamboo sets, use them daily, the choice would be easier made depending on what you plan to knit and how you knit your projects. The cords for the bamboo set is like real thin fishing line and curls quite a bit especially in magic loop method, and with any project really, the red cords for the steel tips are wonderful for flat knitting, Shawls, scarves, etc but very hard to use on magic loop or similar method. The Chiaogoo steel tips are very pointy, and the Bamboo tips are almost as pointy and very smooth to work with. If I want to use the Bamboo tips and not using magic loop I use the red cord (they are interchangeable) and to me they are the perfect needles.

I have used Kntters pride (sister company to Knitpro) and love the cables for magic loop and any project like that, and the cubics are nice for arthritic hands. Knitpro is cheaper than Chiaogoo, however, the sizes in Chiaogoo are a better range, Knitpro only goes down to 4 and Chiaogoo have sizes down to 00 and probably smaller.

So ultimately it would depend on what you want to knit and what method you want to use. Good luck with your decision.

I prefer fixed cubics, I now only use my interchangeable cables as stitch holders.

Bamboo breaks easily. I climbed out of bed , leaned over for balance and broke my lovely bamboo needle. It is an interchangeable. I can use the cord.

Since you have both and love both, you know their characteristics and what you most like to use them for. So you have to decide what you will be using them for primarily and if one seems more suitable than another. Only you have the answer. If you really see no difference, then, as said, flip a coin.

Or go with the best price, maybe one will be on sale when you order.
