Has Anyone bought knitting patterns on Etsy. If so which one. And was it worth it.
I've bought crochet patterns.
I have bought stuff on Etsy, but not patterns, though I have almost bought one quite a few times.
What are you wanting to know? You didn't give much to go off of.
My SIL bought an Etsy pattern she wanted me to crochet for her. It was terrible. I would have looked for reviews but she didn't know. It turned me off to any pattern that has not been tested and reviewed.
I used them a few years ago now, probably knitting patterns. Shortly after this, one of their vendors must have hacked my email because they were sending emails to my contact list and in my name, advertising their product. Etsy totally ignored my complaints. Haven't used them since.
I have purchased about 4 or 5 and haven't had any problems what so ever. As a matter of fact I just purchased a blanket pattern from FIFTYFOURTENSTUDIO and had a question for the owner (Mary Lee) and she answered it right away. She also has an account on Ravelry. Nice patterns. This is her store: https://www.etsy.com/shop/FiftyFourTenStudio
There have been problems with some etsy pattern sellers for many years. Copyright violations are ignored by the platform and poor quality patterns are not uncommon. While I have been satisfied with every etsy purchase I have made, those purchases have been actual items, not patterns. Ravelry is a much better source for knitting or crocheting patterns with a superior search function. Plus Ravelry offers thousands of free patterns, something you will not find on etsy.
Have only purchased one vintage pattern from Etsy for Paddington Bear. Nice pattern and a good seller.
I buy a lot of vintage patterns from etsy.
One of my favourites is
Sometimes the pattern offered on Etsy is free on the designers web site. I don't get how that helps designers sell but without the info being posted on KP I would not have known.
I've bought a few crochet patterns on Etsy. Dolls. One was a total and unmitigated disaster and I was never able to crochet the doll. The other patterns, I was able to make up, but not without contacting the designers about vague and/or incorrect directions. That said, both designers were very quick to respond to my queries, helpful to solve the issues.
I have several patterns on etsy and ravelry. I have sold many many patterns and have never had a complaint. if interested see crochetbysandi on both. sorry, i lied, one lady purchased an afghan pattern and was upset you had to found charts--clearly stated in discription...and wanted me to write out the 26 charts for her row by row.
I’ve bought several patterns on Etsy as well as supplies, never had an issue with any pattern I’ve bought.
I bought waterwheel890, cheap
