I had made a square vest for a little girl, made out of multiples of medallions joined together to make a vest out of self striping sock yarn in pinks and greens. Her little brother saw it and said he "wanted the same but a big shield instead"! I hope I got it right for him..it kind of looks like a shield doesn't it? Took 4 days to make and we are caravanning at Berri in The Riverland with our grand daughters' who are having the time of their lives. It gives me plenty of time for craft activities!

Hi Christine I really like using that wool from Spotlight find it knits or crochets very nicely you did a nice job of the vest. Glad you are enjoying your break at Berri. Do you have to drive your granddaughters back home to Queensland- you are amazing šŸ˜‰

Love it, Christine!
I am not sure I've seen that particular yarn in Spotlight?
Mind you our local one seems to be almost a clearance store.
Been having major hassles with my internet connection, having to use my rather posh new mobile, but it is nice being able to do a Google search with it, and other rather more sophisticated things than the old one could.
I'll have to look up Berri on the map, Australia is so vast, to me, my perception of vast is the Ocean, having crossed both the Atlantic and Pacific when I was nine.
We have wet, but still not really chilly weather, definitely feels like winter, especially when one has to go out. I had ever so many layers on today when I had to go to the doctor.

Berri is in the Riverland of S.A, not far from both Barmera and Renmark. The girls have had a fabulous time! we went to Lake Bonney at Bamera and stopped right at the edge of the lake and they clambered out of the car to find "treasure"! And boy did they find ancient relics too!

I love it. Except for the colors it looks like vests I made for my daughters in the early 1970's!

Sounds like an ideal expedition! My favourite place to explore, and hunt for 'treasure ' as a child, was rock pools. I loved things like sea anemones, starfish, crabs and how they scuttle sideways- so many fascinating mini-communities in each pool. But I have always lived on small islands, and usually close to the coast.
