Several weeks ago, I posted some pictures of a little robin who had taken to following me about the garden when I was working there. He/she eventually flew to my hand for a feed of mealworms!

I had the feeling it's poor plumage was through overwork and exhaustion and I was right. Just a few days ago when we 'called' he/she arrived - accompanied by a single brown-speckled fledgling, in juvenile plumage.

The first two pictures show the "Dramatis personae" - and from there the story unfolds.

I hope you enjoy the pictures and the story as much as I have.
