Wonderful photos! And the story of these cute little birds has been so welcome. It's a little emotional respite from the terrible news stories we're seeing right now.
Thank you so much, Liz!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it Beachy.

I know exactly what you mean. My garden keeps me sane……Well, sort of!!!!

The warm weather seems to be bringing lots of butterflies "out and about". I love to see them fluttering about in the garden.

Lovely photos and great story, Liz. I don't want cats in my tiny garden either, much to the disapproval of a neighbour with 2 feral cats! I don't know about the other side of the Pennines, but on the west side we are inundated with snails, and since my anti-nature farmer is 7 metres away, there is nothing that would eat them. I'm not putting poison down because I have a dog, I don't want to kill those cats, and I don't like killing anything anyway.

It's been amazing watching it happen. We really thought we would lose the mother when she turned up with no tail, but she's a little fighter!!

Peacock butterflies really do live up to their name, don't they? Thanks charbaby.
