I would ordinarily not use this yarn for any apparel, but i found myself in a location with knitting needles, Scrub-It yarn, and no projects to do (I have more than enough towels, scrubbies, etc) . To keep myself busy, I started fooling around with the many blue skeins I had. Used a basic jacket pattern, did a gauge, figured out my measurements and away I went. The yarn is 100% cotton and that fits for the weather in the location where I live. Don't know how this will last long-term, but so far it has worked out. I wash it in cold water and just hang it to dry, then spin in the dryer for a short time to soften up -- did not allow for shrinkage, so am trying to avoid that. I love the drape of the jacket, and had fun with the design (partially because I was running out of the darker blue material),

You made it from the scrubby yarn? It is not scratchy??

That actually surprised me! It is not scratchy. And as it has gotten washed several times, it has softened up even more.

Good for you, I would have just made a large beach towel with it. :)

It looks very nice and I do like the color combination, especially on the shoulders.
