I am looking for a yarn that knits up a Dalmation print
I don't know if there is one, hoping those that work with self patterning yarn might have an idea.
I'm not concerned about the weight, as long as I can get the look.

Self patterning yarns only work with a select number of stitches, use one or two more/less and the pattern will be thrown off, additionally gauge and needle size will impact patterning. There are too many variables to guarantee exact results. Not all Dalmatians have large spots, some only have small flecks of black or liver.

Never even imagined that there would be a yarn specifically made to mimic a dog's coat.

Sadly, not all breeds that I could find, but certainly an interesting concept!

This site has some interesting animal print yarns. I would like to see what it looks like knit or crochet up before I would buy it. Thank you for sharing it .
