They are scardy-cats sometimes and sometimes for good reason. With the way you are, you will charm her in no time. Our kitty was a drop off in the neighborhood. In other words someone dumped her. Vet said she was about 7. It took a few months for her to be OK with more than just a pat on her back as she walked (slinked) by. By and By I could pick her up for a bit. But never brush or nails. She had been on her own long enough to take care of her nails on trees, I guess, and she never needed brushing. Hair not too long.
I'd add some pitted prunes and some port to finish the chops. Pork, prunes and apricots with port....stunning combo. The Jack Daniels might be nipped on during the cooking around here.

Nice that the kitty settled enough to be held.
Dinner sounds great.

Tami, thank you it was a miracle and excellent customer support from Consumer Cellular. I now cut my onion so it is flat on one side before slicing or dicing. Don’t get exact round sliced but dear fingers stay intact.
Mindy, thank you. Love your compassion in taming dumped cat.
Fan, love your Hawaaian pinafore.

I hope it wasn't any idiot trying to break into houses or cars again, or stealing your garden implements.

Thank you, she's between 5 & 7 yrs and scared of everything, according to my DB, she always was, hopefully we can bring her out of her shell, poor thing, I know his mom used to brush her and do her nails, but it's going to take time to get her to trust me that much I think.

Aww poor thing , hopefully in a few months she will be a different cat and no more hiding

Well, I've caught up on last week, and managed to make it here, and only at page 2! I guess I've been busy this week for as far behind as I was. I've finished scanning the photos at the Polish club, until they maybe find me some more. Now to edit them, as I had to scan most of the album pages, instead of the individual photos, and I want just the photos, not the whole page. DH had the brilliant idea of super imposing numbers on the photos (copies, so the original is intact as it was) and putting them on a flash drive, and playing a slide show on one of the TVs at the club, with paper available for people to write the number on a paper with names of those they know. That way I can document the in the files. And I may print them again and label them in new albums. We will see when the time comes. Right now, the file is 1.48gigs!

I spent last Saturday at my cousin's going through old family photos, and doing the same thing. I did some running on Monday, Tuesday I finished the photos at the club, Wednesday I got my hair cut and cooked supper in the instant pot, a round roast with potatoes and carrots. I put it in for 90 minutes, and the meat just fell apart when DH tried to cut it. Just perfect! So we added BBQ sauce to the meat and had potatoes and carrots as sides. Can't remember what else I did, it sure doesn't seem like that was all I did with the day. Yesterday was the last breakfast with Amber, Arriana & Damien before they go back to school. Then knitting group, and home to make dinner for DH & DS. Chinese egg roll in a bowl with rice. Well, DS did most of it, as my finger decided it wanted a close encounter with the knife I had just sharpened and was using to dice an onion. Doesn't hurt, and didn't, the advantage of a sharp knife! And only bled a little. A quick cleaning with peroxide, salve and a bandaid, and I was good to go. Today was a massage appointment that needed changed from next week when I would be out of town. Ahhhh! At least no migraines today, 3 this week. I guess either hormone related, or too much looking down. Our favorite craft store closed a couple of months ago, but reopened today as Micheals. So after my massage I went in to check it out. Micheals isn't my favorite craft store, but at least we have one, and I was able to find a few things, colored vinyl for the Cricut and a few other things. I got a sheet of pink, as Amber was bringing the kids over and we made labels for some of Arriana's school supplies, which took the rest of the afternoon, as I've only used it a couple of times. Amber and I both learned as we went. Damien cut the grass for us while we worked on labels. At supper, one of our friends called to see if I wanted her crochet supplies. They are moving to Florida, and can't take it with them, and she is unable to crochet anymore anyway. So, after DH's chiropractor appointment, we stopped to get that, and spent an hour with them. I told her that I couldn't use it, but knew where to donate it where it would be appreciated. And then home and caught up here.

Sam, I know how easy it is to get lost on youtube! As long as we know you are all right, we don't mind you getting us started late.

Martina and Maajte, public transportation for sure to Romni Wool! Maatje, I really hope you can make time to get there. It's amazing! We were at some mall for lunch, and asked for directions, asking if it was within easy walking distance. Well, that was a mistake. Not only was I about done in by they time we finally got there, but it ate into a lot of the limited time we had to shop. So we asked for help, mostly looking for sock yarn, for socks or shawls, as that is easy to squeeze into a corner of a suitcase. There is yarn wall to wall, floor to ceiling, and more in the basement! And this store is bigger than my whole house! It is so well worth the trip, even if it costs a bit to get there, just for the experience! We took a taxi to the Amtrak bus station, as we had to take the bus back across the border, to pick up Amtrak to come home.

I know there were other things from last week that I wanted to comment on, but don't remember what they were. So I will say good night for now. Hugs
Well, I've caught up on last week, and managed to ... (show quote)

Thanks Sam and ladies from getting us started on another week around the tea table. Don't worry about being late Sam, it's so easy to lose track of time. I'm just glad that Gwen has Heidi's number and can always make sure you're OK.
After yesterday's on off rain we have a bright sunny morning so hopefully it will stay that way all day.
