Hello to all,
I went to my local Joann's for "No Sew" fleece blankets. From the moment I got out of my car, there were bins of sale yarn in front of the entrance. I wandered around looking for the fleece blanket kits and there were bins of sale yarn everywhere. I was told they had rearranged the yarn department and that was why there were so many bins. I think it might have something to do with Spring/Summer colors/yarns being sold at discount to make room for Fall/Winter yarns and colors. I don't know if this happens everywhere but it is happening in Orange County, California, USA. I promised myself I wouldn't buy yarn but the temptation was just too great. Hope your stores have SALE yarn too.

Ooohh thanks. I'm so disappointed that we didn't get a Joanns in the old KMart place, instead we got Hobby Lobby and I'm not impressed with them. Every time I get to St. Louis, we always hit a Joanns and Barnes. Sale yarns? Impossible to pass up.

Locally, I usually see more yarn in Jo-Ann's in August.

They're doing that in Michigan too. I went the other day and a lot of the aisle bins were empty and there was yarn in big bins in the main aisles. Couldn't use my coupons.

We had a coupon for Joann's but couldn't use because of all the yarn was on sale. That doesn't say we didn't buy some.

At mine 3/4 of the regular yarn and about half the baby yarn was on clearance. Even about a dozen RHSS.

I looked online, they have quite a bit on sale there. I needed two more skeins to add to the two I had to make a sweater, and it was marked down, I pick it up at my local store, they only had two left. So thanks for posting this!

Thanks for the heads-up! I'll check out if it's happening in San Diego County as well.
