I keep having nosebleed - went to emergency twice and had inside my nose cauterized. Thought that would stop it, but every once in a while it comes back. I'm scared something is terribly wrong.

I have to wait until Tuesday to get the results from my blood test, hard to sleep or concentrate - or even have a conversation with my husband. My mind is racing and thinking really negative thoughts.

Please send some good vibes my way.

Edited - sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place, should have been GCC.

I'm cool, don't let the police stop you, so what it's in the wrong place, doesn't stop the world from turning.

Take care of yourself,

Janallyn

No reason to assume news will be bad. I've had bad nosebleeds for years. Do you use aspirin often

My mom had them often. She started running a humidifier in her house and it helped a lot.

No aspirin - no blood thinners - thanks for your input - I always panic first before anything else.

We are all so fast to assume the worst. Most times it turns out to be "nothing".

I'm sending vibes your way that everything is negative.

Best wishes

So scary, but it could be something really benign, so try not to worry. I had a lot of nosebleeds as a child. They never did figure out why and eventually it stopped.

Please don't worry too much about it. We always think the worst, don't we? My friend's son had frequent nosebleeds and his doctor told him to put a little vaseline in his nostrils (his nostrils were so dry that they would bleed). That solved his problem. As another KPer said, if you have a humidifier, use it. Keep in touch.

Healing prayers sent your way. I read that dry membranes in the nose can cause chronic nosebleeds, so lubrication can help. And if the temperatures dropped in your area and you turned on the furnace, that can cause dryness in the nose.

Maybe you have too many red blood cells. Have that checked. My DH had them before we found out he had HepC.

Please don't think I'm having a laugh at your expense, but hemorroid cream works wonders on the veins in the nose. My son suffered badly from nose bleeds especially if his sinus was affected by pollens, etc. The cream calms and shrinks the affected areas and stops any pain too. A GP told us about this.

Don't worry unless you have to, it will only make it worse.
Take care of yourself and sit and have a long conversation with your husband. He's probably worrying because you are.

I sympathize with you, had cauterization also and have had fewer nose bleeds. how is your blood pressure??
Positive thoughts going your way.
