I want to thank Barbara Ward for her generosity. She sent me some yarn and I did receive it. I have already gotten my supplies out to start crocheting hats, mittens and scarves. I am sure the children will love them when they get them at Christmas time.
Some really good people on here.
You're a good person too. Thanks for helping the children.
Thanks to all who helped in this, great job everyone!
How lovely! Great folks here.
As everyone here on KP probably knows I knit and felt catnip mice to help with funding a cat rescue operation. In the several years I have been doing these, I have never had to buy yarn for the mice. I need pure wool that has not been treated to be superwash. Whenever I am running short, perhaps of a colour, it magically appears. Only this morning I was given two large balls of yarn for making the mice. Since there is no band on it, and the giver didn't really know what the content of the yarn was, I will do a swatch. This I will put in a mesh bag and throw it in with my regular household laundry. That will tell me if it is feltable or not. Just another example of the generosity of others and remembering that I can use their leftovers.
