So glad for you and bodej. KP is a wonderful resource. I have met and made friends through this site too.
Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!! So great to hear this, and how you enjoyed oneanother.
Have fun and thank you for sharing this.
Thank you to all of you. Those who gave advice on the cardigan post, and those who took time to post here.
I met with her again at Hobby Lobby last night, picked up the yarn and a size 8 knitting needle for the Cardigan project, and we talked about things she's working on. She had some very pretty purple yarn in her cart, and showed me a beautiful cabled Sweater/Cardigan pattern she is going to start. She even found some very nice buttons in the same color as the yarn.
I had printed a pattern that I thought I could manage, and made her a copy also, in case I got lost and needed help. after we said our good evenings, I got home, and was so excited I started the ribbing on the back panel. I realized I had the wrong needle size and sent a message asking what I should do. LOL I am such a goof!!! Bode realized I had printed the wrong pattern, not the same one I had sent her a link to.
I am so glad she caught that. I had cast on the number of stitches called for and was working on the ribbing, and had to pull it all off and start again, with the correct pattern!
so as you now know, I am off and running. I will be printing the correct pattern today, so I will have it with me at home, and I know I will be asking for help with directions, But it's nice to know I have someone I can count on if I really get lost.
I am so grateful to all of you, and to bode for taking time out of her busy schedule to help me!
What fun! So glad you were able to connect with another yarnie.
How wonderful that you have found a "fiber friend" and that your husbands also seemed to get along so well! What a "win win" situation! I hope this develops into a great friendship for the 4 of you! My "fiber friend" moved away and then passed away. I miss her so much!
Congratulations to you both! Worst part for me of growing old is losing my drivers' license (epilepsy) and where I'm living now the bus system leaves soooooo much to be desired. . . .
What a positive story! May your friendship continue.
So glad that you was able to find someone to help. It is good to find a new friend.
