My dear godchild Laura sent me the first photo asking if I could make a crochet pattern and if I could crochet it for her...

Unfortunately, she had renamed the photo so I had no source to retrieve the original so it was a search.

Sure I found descriptions, I found even the original, but when I turned it into a PDF, the text was illegible.

The next one that I found was better suited for a PDF and I had the text translated by Google.

I still had to find out what the crochet hook 0000 meant, but that has since been found. (see my other topic about that https://www.knittingparadise.com/t-627543-1.html ).

Mmm, now I have to think about whether I will crochet the bolero or whether I am going to give my godchild crochet lessons ...

Very pretty. Might be nice to do both. Teach her because she will want more. Lol

Give her crochet lessons. That will last a lot longer, and is a greater gift.

Beautiful ..looks rather simple stitches .. have her help.. maybe make one along with yours.. in a different color then she will have two and know how and how much effort it takes.. best of wishes for both of you.. looks like would make a good relationship project for both of you.. sitting side by side working together.. both will remember bonding for ever.

If you can get the name of the yarn, you should be able to see what the weight is, and get an idea what size hook to use.

I agree, wish I had had someone to teach me, it took years and years of trial and error to learn.

I have looked at this and wanted to make it but couldn't find English directions.

You missed the download link in my first message; as I wrote, I made a copy of one of the Spanish descriptions found and had the text translated by Google into English. I uploaded both PDF documents to my box.com

Give her lessons. Translation by Google may be awesome for some things, knitting and/or crochet are not some of them.

Laura, my godchild, is absolutely not creative - her mother gave up the attempts long time ago - so I agreed with her mother that we will give her a book "Knitting and Crocheting for Dummies" to tease her and that I will crochet the bolero as a gift for her 32nd birthday in January.

Thank you
This made my laugh
My 5 year old granddaughter lives in Spain and she and her mother sent me a title of a book in Spanish this weekend. This is for something she wants for Christmas.
After translating I was able to find the book on Amazon.
Un Zoo de Ganchillo She like the purple Hippopotamus I have started. Crochet a Zoo.
