Slip one at a time or slip two sts knitwise at same time?

Also in ssk, do u slip as if to knit and then move the two back to left needle, and then knit into back leg? or something else? ( I don't do some of this stuff often enough to remember. And I should have learned it fifty yrs ago when it did some good to learn😉

Thanks for your interest and answers

slip one st knitwise to right needle, slip another st knitwise to the right needle, then put point of left needle into the front legs of those 2 sts on the right needle, then knit them together.

A few ways to do ssk. Try slip 1 knit wise, slip 1 purlwise, knit both tog thru bk loop. But practice first. This version is "slightly" flatter and doesn't stretch second stitch

Carole, I've been knitting many years, and I've tried every kind of SSK there is, and in my opinion, this is the absolute best.

I can't view YouTube, slow internet, but when I come across ask what I do is, lift front leg of first st, twist St and replace on L needle, K tog with next St through back loops. I've been doing it this way for years after playing around with decreases.

My favorite:

Brief and very clear.

I slip the first kw and place back on the LN, k2 tbl which is basically the same,
but where the snugness comes to play is when removing the sts from the LN at the end.

Only remove the first st off the LN, snug it, then remove the other and snug.

The other video was a bit fiddly to me, but this is the same thing without the fiddly part.

This is what I do, and prefer it to the slip both stitches as if to knit.
