We all knew you could do it!

I think Alberta said her KAL sweater was coming along fine too. Maybe when she gets home she can show us some pictures.

Ok, moving along here. I finished my edging and button holes. I don't like the buttons I have, and don't have enough anyway. I need to get more. I still have to put the sleeves on. Not sure where to start. That will be for tomorrow night.

OK now I need opinions..

Do I need to redo the band?? Is it too short? should I make the collar larger?

I still don't have buttons nor have I BO'd..

I am no expert... but here it is...

It does look alittle narrow around the top but if you made it deeper would it make the band at the bottom too thick? hhmmm Maybe someone with more experience would be more helpful than me.
But it looks great and fits well.

Don't lie to me!!!!! lol...

I thought to maybe stop on the sides and only continue for a couple more rows around the collar.. but I'll wait for Bonnie or someone else who knows to tell me what to do!!!!

I never mind if I have to rip rip rip....

Thanks for the opinion!!

You are too hard on yourself you should be very proud of yourself for making your sweater( Cardi). I have a jumper I made that I love to wear even though it is hiddeous just because I made it. Maybe I'll show you guys one day !!!

Your sweater looks a lot better than mine! But hey, we are newbies, at least I am! I'll show pics as soon as my sleeves are on. I need to get buttons, probably over the weekend. No place close to get a decent button that I can run to during lunch.

Oh that yarn is so pretty! Great yarn choice...As to how to tweak the fit... I am not the expert.... Almost appears the band around the front/neck is too short ...?

I think it looks great, fits great, but agree it needs more depth for the collar. If you can go back to the short rows for the collar and work a few more it might look better. Or just keep increasing the whole band.

FIRST you need to figure out why it's pulling up on the bottom halves of the bands. It looks like too few sts from the empire line, down. But that might just be because it can't stretch out on that needle. Why don't you put half of it on another circ or some waste yarn, and let that ribbed band relax and see just how far it will actually stretch out when bound off loosely... It may be fine once blocked. If it looks like it's still going to be short and pull up in front, you will need to take it off and pick up more sts on those lower fronts. From the empire line, up, looks fine...

I'm running out the door so won't see your response for a while... will check later.
