DId the same thing.. and I am just starting again... 10 sts each section.. had to go out and buy new markers didn't have enough...hope this works... it should....I even measured each section to make sure they were the same...
Ok I need to catch up! I have been so busy I forgot to tell you Barb what a great job you have done conquering a sweater and lace it looks great. I am looking forward to seeing yours and Nina's again when they are all done and blocked.
Ok, my new sweater is on the needles. Hopefully I won't have to rip it out this time!!
Cool.. there you go.. .I have to still finish my first...
Then I have no clue what to do.. Bonnie said I should practice on a scarf.. (lace) but I forgot which one she said I should do... never got lace right..
I was reading another post that gave a link to a blog.. called...
IT takes balls to knit.com This guy has an 88 row repeat cable ... I just think about doing something like that and I just cringe!!!
I think it is called "the berkshire cable" .. how appropriate, eh? Gorgeous and hard to get to...
Should we try that?? I can't get simple K1P1 rib to go right....
Cool.. there you go.. .I have to still finish my f... (
do they give pattern? It might be a fun KAL
I'm stuck. I need Bonnie.
Here's where I'm stuck:
Next row forms center front of sweater: turn, and with right side facing and using cable cast on method, cast on 39 sts for center front. do not turn work.
K across sts of right front (right=right side of sweater as worn) and right sleeve without increasing.
Place a different color marker to designate this as beginning of rounds from here on.
Next round: *K1, yo, K to 1 st before next marker, yo, K1.* Repeat between * around, joining the round.
K 1 round without increases.
OK! here is my confusion: after I purl the last row and get to to these instructions, I put 39 sts on my left needle. How do i continue knitting the right front without turning? Not sure how to do this. Or am I just over thinking it?
I have no clue.. but.. maybe it's a short row? but even that would be turned???!!!
Is there anything left after you CO 39sts? from before?
Weird.. is it backward knitting???
Am I making you further confused???
How about just following exactly as written and worry about it when you hit it... sometimes I don't get it.. but if I do exactly as written then the lightblub goes off as I work it..

by the way, this is my next sweater!
This lace panel should be easy for you Barb! Have faith in yourself!!
I just looked at the pattern and I am probably wrong but the next instruction after that one you join it and knit in round this is probably why you don't turn....( maybe)
I'm tinking out the row I did because I'm sure it is wrong. I need to think on this one, or wait for Bonnie to come to the rescue!
Ok, I couldn't sleep. Not sure if it's because I slept so much when I got home from the hospital yesterday or if it's because I couldn't stop thinking of this sweater. I just don't get it. The last row before the add on stitches says purl. If I do that then I'm purling the right side. I am so confused. Unless that purl row is just the last purl row as in #7. But then when I add the stitches and knit back without turning I'd be knitting the left side instead of the right side of the sweater. I see this when I hold the stitches so it's top down. Where oh where am I going wrong! (6:45 AM and I need a drink!)
Good morning, i swear I do not know where anyone is? I have said good morning on both threads. :-)
Everyone must be having a sleep in.
