Oh, I want to cry for you!

I can't tell you what to do, but if you do make another, please put a tag in it. I hate tags... And never thought I would use them, but I will remember THIS story and order some just in case...

Oh nina!

there you go... I thought of tags too.. but I know my Mother is every strict on stuff like that.. so I was so surprise to hear it... but I guess the woman did it while my mom wasn't looking.. .and if you knit, how did she not know what she was doing?? Unless she only knits with washable crap???? And to wash it in HOT water???? What is the point???? I smell sabotage.. But my Mom said the woman was so distraught that she promised to knit my Mom another one...

Sounds like she was jealous or something. I would tell her EXACTLY what you spent on the wool, and then tell her YOU want to remake it, not her. Let her send you the money and buy all the yarn again, and start over.

What an idiot... She should NOT get away with this.

Thanks for starting the thread, too. I locked the other one and "sticky'd" this one.

Tracy, sorry, I did mean prayers going out for Tania. Anyone heard anything from her today?

Also, Nina, if your Mom didn't want another one, why didn't she just keep 'mum' about this? Of course she wants you to remake it!

Idk... I will tell you what I tell my dd... Take the high road, but also take precaution.... And if you find out it was done intentionally, remember HOW you respond is your witness to everyone who sees or hears it

& what's fun is when she has to turn around and tell me my own advice!

I just hate it for you tho, I remember how much you put into it:(

Angela that sweater is so southern belle, perfect for u!!! you should give it a try.

i think my mom is just doing the "dont worry I'll just sit here in the dark! No need to change the light bulb!!"

I now have to find yarn that works.. at least I know that the first one was way too big for her.. so I can make it smaller...

But what yarn to get???? any suggestions???? Where can I find good yarn for less???
