Hello lovely ladies

My son and I are going to the UK for Xmas after 20 years in Australia!I'm looking to knit in aran or chunky a very cool jumper/ sweater or jacket that a young almost a teenager 13 year old boy would wear. Hes into xbox, angry birds, converse, and skulls
Do any of the readers have an ideas? Had a look on Deramores and Ravellery so far not much
Appreciate sending patterns if you have seeen anything on your wanderings!

My pre-teen wouldn't wear a hand knitted sweater. He's a stubborn little monkey.

If you want him to blend in while you are here, the only type of sweater you would get similar to an Aran design is an all over cable or rib stitch and one with a shawl collar or a 3 button funnel neck and black, grey or charcoal. 13yr old's in the UK aren't really into sweaters, it's hoodies and sweat shirts. The only ones I would use are Sirdar 2312 and Sirdar 2314 off the Patternfish site.

Google 'Wonderful Wallaby' its a hooded jumper with a front pocket, I have made a few of them, they are easy and pretty 'cool' I think, and you can do any design on it if you are clever.

Check Ravelry.com. It is free to join and there are oodles of free patterns for anything you might want to make, After you register and log in, go to Patterns. There you will find a search engine. You may choose to just search through knitted items. Type in your other desires and see what comes up.

this is neat I wouldn't use the red though I would use a charcoal or grey instead,My grandson says the red is'nt cool.
