hmm instead of doing the YO to make the eyelet- i do the kfb of stitch ie knit infront and back of stitch... Will think up something..

pattern is out of my head....

Cast on 63 sts and do ribbing of your choice for 1 inch. the pattern stitch is called the open work stripe ie
row 1: k4 'Yo, slip 1, k2tog, PSSO, YO, k4' across the row
row 2 : k1, purl to last st, k1
row 3: k across row
row 4: k1, purl to last st, k1
repeat these 4 rows 4 times and then start decreasing for the crown like all other patterns.
