Thank you for posting this. I've occasionally been asked to teach someone to crochet (in those olden days when we could still get together with friends...). This manual will come in very handy.

Thanks again!

Thanks, I even went back and grabbed the knitting one. My daughter got her Masters from Utah State in April. Nice school.

A while back I posted the 4H Knitting Handbook, and it was well received. So when I came across the 4H Crocheting Handbook, I thought some of my fellow members would also enjoy seeing it, and may find it useful as a teaching aid.

I have missed the 4-H sewing, knitting and crochet groups, mostly I have done sewing the last couple years. The parents struggled through with the projects so they could show at the fair.

Thank you for posting this handbook. I am hopeful that by reviewing it, I can recall how to make a simple crocheted edging on a baby blanket.

Glad to be of help. Look at page 33, I still use some of these edge stitches.

What a treasure! Thank you for sharing this - I copied one of the crochet slipper patterns just because!

Thanks so much, Lilyan. I learned to knit through 4H, but my first Mother in Law taught me to crochet. This little manual has some tips that she didn't share with me, plus it brings back memories from my early learning experiences :)

Thanks. My GD wants to learn and this can help me teach her. Much appreciate your kindness Lilyan.
