Thank you all for helping me with the 5 hour baby sweater. I do not know how to get to where I asked a question. So from now on, I'll just enjoy all the help that you wonderful people give.

Thanks again. Ginger

Try Bev's Country Cottage (Google). I'm pretty sure it is there.
It is in the baby, sweater section. Sorry, I don't know how to attach a link.
Copy the URL (web page address) from the box at the top of the page, them past it into the message box on KP.

Thanks for the web site. I like the colour of the little jacket so I bookmarked the site. I can knit this for charity, and if it only takes 5 hours, I could make several to give at the same time.

Is the 5 hr sweater good for a novice to start on ?
I managed and I started knitting in January. The only problem I had was the pattern I followed had mistakes so I had to 'wing it' in several places. Which was a little stressful not knowing what I was doing.

I would like to make another but from a different source.

Mine took two weeks to make!!!! Lol. That includes frogging it six times due to the pattern errors.

Have fun xxxx

Well, I think these 5 hr patterns are easy, but do exactally as it says don't try to second guess as on my first pattern, when it said do not cut yarn at the end of the 1st sleeve, I put it down and thought they were crazy, but NO I was trying to guess what should be done such as CUT the yarn. After that no worries!

I make all sizes as it depends on the amount of yarn left from another project such as a shawl. Then use smaller needles and it will fit a very small baby such as a burial sweater for a dear one who has passed. The parents are so grateful as doll clothes do not look good on a tiny baby. Make a hat too as they must cover the heads from all those needle marks.

Then I say a little prayer even though I don't know who will receive the item, but it does my heart good as in the end, we all believe in a higher power.
