Many moons ago I attended a seminar and purchased the pattern DAKOTA RIB SWEATER from Rocking Horse Farms in St. Cloud, MN. I have sent two emails to them the last 2 weeks or so and I get no response. The sweater pattern states "cast on in a 6 x 2 rib" for the sleeves. I have no clue how to do this. I have a Brother 970 and nothing in my manual says how to set this up. Her pattern doesn't say how to either. Wondering if any of you machine knitters can help me out. I'd like to make a couple of these sweaters for Christmas. Thanks for any help.

Do a 1/1 rib cast on. When cast on is finished move needles to main bed for 6 X 2 rib.

Thank you for the reminder to start at the center and work out! I tend to forget that, until it is too late.
