Just finished this one to send my older brother for his 50th birthday. I figured I needed to send something a little extra special since he's half a century old. I wrote in his card that when he wears it he should pretend it's a hug from me. At least he'll know he's loved.

This is absolutely gorgeous! I love the pattern and the sentiment that it will be a hug.
Wow! I love that scarf! Can you tell me were you got that pattern...I just have to try it...just started knitting about a year ago self taught with the huge help of the internet...love the you tube tutorials...have really helped me to progress in my skills.
Jeannine,

Your scarf is beautiful as a dream! Just gorgeous!
I was reading everyone's comments and was hoping to see you'll be sharing the pattern :) I, too would like the pattern.
I also love the choice of yarn you used.
Just wondering if is not more work for you to individually send it to each one of us, then to just post it here?
I knit for many years too, and ll my family loves my work, but I will not making it for my brothers! I have 6. Only my husband will get it :)

Congrats again on your beautiful piece of art,

Manuella
This is absolutely beautiful. I have been searcing for something for my son's 60th birthday but nothing I've seen has been special enough for me to consider until I saw this. If you could share the pattern I'd be ever so grateful.

I'm new to the group but not new to knitting. You folks have some beautiful projects. I was wondering if you could elaborate on the edges of the scarf. Is it some sort of knitted on I-cord? Thanks for your help.

Isn't that the Oak Leaf and Acorn pattern? I think I have the book it came out of. But I think it was made into a sweater, am I right? I have practically every knitting book, and it would take me a month of Sundays to find this one. Oh, Well, it is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
lovely, hope he appreciates you time and effort. I like the idea about you giving him a hug.
That is one terrific scarf! Love it!
It is beautiful
I think your brother is verry happy with the scarf

Your scarf is very beautiful, did you design it yourself?
You did a gorgeous job. I made a whole afghan with panels of this same pattern a few years ago. Your brother will just love it and really appreciate all the love that went into it. Nanette
