I've just finished the "Levenwick Sweater" (raverly) it is knit in reverse stockinett. My problem is attaching a patch pocket neatly - I checked the projects on raverly and did not like the way any of the pockets were sewn on. I was thinking about crocheting a small picot edge around the pocket and then attaching because I don't think and don't know how to do a duplicate stitch on the reverse stockinett. Has anyone a different solution? Thanks

I knit a pocket through a sweater, picking up stitches along a bottom front row. I knit to the desired length , bound off and used the tails to sew side seams. Turned out nice.

I just looked at the sweater/projects on Ravelry and I think it really looks much more classy without the pocket. Pretty sweater

I too like it without the pocket but not sure which way the daughter wants. Maybe I will wait until I give it to her this weekend and add or trash the pocket - I vote trash

I prefer pockets in the side seams, myself. Just MHO.

isn't that a pocket that is seen on the left side of the sweater on ravelry? if not, what is that horizontal trim piece at waist level?

there are how-to's on pockets online. you might even look on ravelry.
